Das Weltsystem als Ganzes hat der bekannte Entwicklungsphilosoph und Friedensforscher Johan Galtung einer Analyse unterzogen. Er schreibt nicht vom Ende des Systems, sondern vom Preis seiner Modernisierung, wer ihn bezahlt und welche Alternativen es dazu gibt.
